Direct Service of Workshops

La Fuerza de Familias Latinas (LFFL ) is a national campaign and education program inspired by Univision’s popular telenovela “ La Fuerza de Creer 2 ” which was seen by more than 1.4 million people in 2019.

Our workshops and digital resources are designed to support Spanish-speaking parents and caregivers of young children (ages 0-7) to promote their children’s early learning, social-emotional growth, and school readiness.

Story

Parents watch videos inspired by the telenovela.

Voice

They analyze situations and share their experiences.

Action

They apply what they have learned in their own families.

DIRECT SERVICE OF WORKSHOPS

Direct Service: Family Engagement Workshops (VIRTUAL)

Five 90-minute workshop sessions for Spanish-speaking parents & caregivers of young children
Participants meet through Zoom and a group chat
Increases their comfort with online learning and access to digital resources.
Participants workshop strategies to support their child’s early literacy skills through conversations and family-friendly activities that meet English Language Arts Standards for Kindergarten including Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening, and Language strands.

Benefits for Participants

Helps participants promote at home what children will be or are learning in school.
Encourages bilingualism and connection with other Spanish-speaking families.
Increases their comfort with online learning and access to digital resources.
Participants workshop strategies to support their child’s early literacy skills. through conversations and family-friendly activities that meet English Language Arts Standards for Kindergarten including Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening, and Languagestrands.

The Curriculum aligns with National Kindergarten Standards for early literacy , social-emotional learning, and family engagement through reading, playing, and informal STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) exploration.
Participants meet through Zoom and a group chat
$ 2500 per workshop cycle. La Fuerza Facilitator meets with your team, supports your recruiting efforts, and provides evaluation. Serve up to 15 Spanish-speaking caregivers.
